Vaterra Ascender 1972 Chevy K10 pickup

Vaterra is not playing around. They aren’t about to let Axial steal all the thunder. Today they dropped pics of the newest Ascender and man does it look good. It features waterproof electronics and a functional spare tire to with with a very scale realistic truggy rear section. The 1972 Chevy K10 body has a molded grill section and aluminum panels on the bed to increase scale realism. It also features a molded fuel cell (that looks to be a functional radio box) to keep your electronics dry and some licensed super swamper tires. Period correct door graphics makes this thing drip with nostalgia.

Under all the new cosmetic upgrades is the original Ascender chassis which has gained a pretty good foot hold in the scale world.

Retail price looks to be $399 for the RTR model. No word if this is going to come as a kit or not.

I think Vattera has a winner on their hands here. If you want to find out more you can hit their website here.

Thanks for stopping in gang, I’ll catch you on the next one.
